Prego Announcement

This is something I found about one of my favorite football players.

Very interesting way to make a big announcement.

Prego

This is Crazy

I am sure some of you have seen this. I just thought I would share it with those that have not seen it. I also wanted to throw one more post up here, and this was an easy way to do it.

By the way, it is cold here, and Fall is only ten days old.

A few pics from Kosovo

So I am finally proud to upload a few pictures from Kosovo, mainly the capital city of Prishtina. There are a few pictures from Prizren as well. Prizren is a little more touristy than Prishtina. Either way they are both lovely places for a short walk under the sunshine.

                                                 It's a Bill Clinton statue
One of the world's ten ugliest buildings. The National Library of Kosovo.
This represents Kosovo as a new country, with all the of the countries that voted for its independence.
Albanian Legion Alliance Office (reconstructed after the war in 1999)
One of the mosques in Prizren
Memorial statue of Albanian Soldier that died in the war
Doin' it Kosovar Style with the Macchiato
                                             Wonderfully tasting honey walnut pancakes
Selfie during my postcard time at the U of Prishtina
Old Glory flying high with EU, UN, Kosovo, and two others
In this picture there is a street sign - George Bush Blvd (maybe hard to tell though)

Thessaloniki

So I have found a half-marathon to run in Greece in order to help me prepare for my big marathon in Texas.

check it out here. It seems to be a pretty exciting event.

Back in Sofia

So I have now been back in Sofia since about 5 am on Sunday morning. I really wish I had stayed in Kosovo, but I wanted to do some work and not have to pay for my lodging. Additionally, my good buddy Jimmy (kind of like a little bro) is staying here again at the hostel. Jimmy is from Australia, and we get along really well. I share my funds with him, and we spend some evenings cooking. He has some restaurant experience, which works out very well. I will only be here for three more weeks though. My friend Lauren, (who I know from WKU) and I will do a little traveling together. She does not feel comfortable traveling through Eastern Europe alone, so I agreed to escort her around a little bit, before I go to Poland.

Part of me wishes I had stayed in Kosovo, but I could not find any volunteer work right away. I met a few connections, but I have not received any replies from them so far. The people there were so kind, and the American flag was everywhere - definitely makes one feel at home. I may inquire into doing some work there at the beginning of next year though. I feel called to help in some way in this part of the world, and I know to do it for the right reasons.

With some friends that I made in the beautiful town of Prizren

Most importantly, I have warm weather clothes here at the hostel that I was in dire need of last week. The weather here has dropped into the 40s and 50s (8-15 in Celsius).

Anyway, it is getting a little late here. I will be posting a few items in the next twenty or thirty minutes.

Good Trivia Question

Where in the world can one find George Bush Boulevard intersecting with Bill Clinton Boulevard. If you know it, you can email me. Or I will post the answer soon. Stay tuned.

Also, where is the only statue of Bill Clinton in the world?
