A little update on things

So recently I've submitted an application to be a Fulbright Institute Teaching Assistant in Bulgaria. I really want this prestigious honor, and feel that it may be attained. Anyway, the application process was a little tough. I wrote two different essays, and had three different people answer some interesting questions about my character and communication abilities.

This past weekend we had movie night at church. A few of us prepared dishes --- mine was Penne Pasta with chicken and a little veggie tomato sauce. We watched a movie titled Letters to God, which is a cute little movie about a little guy who has brain cancer, and how is "Letters to God" benefit the lives of many around him.

Work is going well these days. I did have something really interesting occur last week. In my smallest afternoon class one of the girls got into a little skirmish with the oldest boy. Well, she decided to put a quick end to things by laying a nice little backhand to his face. He held together for a minute or two, and then the tears started flowing. I pretty much told him that hitting a girl can result in such things, and that he should not be doing such a thing.

Anyway, I've got these little breaks in the morning time for the next few weeks, so I'll be adding more to this later.
