Dec. 31st. New Year's Eve - A time for reflection. A time to pause, and be reminded of all that has come and gone regardless of its effect on our lives. Some of us reflect on lives that have passed.
I reflect on my musical hero. A man they called Possum was called to God's heavenly choir of Honky Tonk Angels this past year. He touched the lives of many. His music told stories that made us think he was singing about our lives. In the last years of his life we learned some valuable lessons: that with faith we can conquer anything, and the unwavering love a woman can bring a man back from the deepest pit of despair.
No one will ever fill his shoes, but we remember a true musical saint whose sound will carry on forever.
