Peace
I feel it in the handshake received from a stranger
I hear it in the song Amazing Grace
I see it on the face of a dog who has faced more adversity in life than one could imagine
I smell it in the barbecue of my hometown
I taste it in the kiss of a woman I long for
I feel it on the steering wheel during a long road trip
I hear it through the songbirds as I awaken to start my day
I see it on the face of a father watching his young daughter learn to rider her bike
I smell it in a forest full of pines
I taste it in that carefully crafted brew that represents a chapter in my life
This my friends is what I refer to as peace.
