An awesome last day in Sofia

I don't want to leave this city. . . I have seen so many cool places, and met  some really cool people tonight as well.

To start the day I went to the St. Rila Monastery (which was built back in the 8th century).  It was an amazing place to visit.  I had to take a three hour bus ride to get there, but it was definitely worth it.  The buildings, the bells, the artistry, and even the setting were the reason that this place is one of the top destinations for people to visit in Bulgaria.

I came back at 6:30 pm, and I was invited to go on a bike tour with Slav at 9pm.  I didn't realize we were going on a bike tour with about 45 other people.  I met some wonderful Bulgarians, rode about 20km, and got to see the beautiful Sofia at night.  This one of those days the best days ever for me. We just came back to the hostel at midnight from our bike tour.  We all had beers at the end and just talked for a good while, before saying "ciao", and going our own separate ways.

I'll post a few pics from the monastery, other folks have pics from the biking trip though.

Warning:  Google is having trouble uploading my pics right now, so I can't post all the good ones.  There are some great ones on facebook though.
