This was going to be a long drawn out post based on a different topic that I originally had in mind. However, when I was running tonight the Lord changed my mind. Just keep it simple tonight. So, as I was turning the corner of a golf course in an East Memphis neighborhood guided by streetlights and my beanie headlight, the Lord spoke to me. Well, he used Lauren Daigle as the messenger to speak to me.
I heard words from the song "Look Up Child, and almost at that very moment, BOOM a giant snowflake popped me on the nose. It was then that I realized that sometimes we really do need to just look up and acknowledge the beauty of what is around us. Sometimes on a dull and boring 90 minute night run, we just have to look up and enjoy those rare snowflakes coming down. Heckfire, those might be the last snowflakes we see here in Shelby County for quite a while. So do yourself a little favor. Get your eyes off of that silly device and just look up. See what the Lord may have in store for you. If you are driving, you should probably be doing this anyway.
