These are in chronological order, so feel free to comment as you wish.
1. My first ever Super Bowl (that I actually remember watching at least) - January 31, 1988 - The Redskins walloped the Broncos 42-10. Doug Williams was Super Bowl MVP and there was an offensive line those days known as the Hogs. Those Redskin wide receivers were freaking amazing, too. Anyone remember Art Monk?
2.January 27 1991 - Wide Right!!! New York Giants vs. Buffalo Bills 20-19 I really just remember Bill Parcells and that goofy sweater he would always wear, but I do remember someone yelling "wide right, wide right." I think the guy's name was Scott Norwood. Was Phil Simms the QB. There might have been a guy named Lawrence Taylor that played defense.
3. January 31, 1993 - Dallas Cowboys vs. Buffalo Bills - 52-17. I honestly cannot remember anything about this game but the Leon Lett play. We all remember that one if we remember this game at all. There were guys like Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, and Michael Irvin. Seriously though, that Leon Lett play where the Bills player chased him down will definitely be remembered forever, and not for the right reasons.
4. January 25,1998 - Denver Broncos vs. Green Bay Packers 31-24 The old man and I were at a restaurant called Houstons watching this game. - Elway finally got that elusive championship after losing out once or twice before. Terrell Davis was on that time and if I remember he had an amazing year that year. Everyone was probably rooting more for Elway to win than they were for the Broncos or Packers to actually win though.
5. January 30, 2000 - St. Louis Rams vs. Tennessee 23-16. One yard short. I remember being in the lobby of my dormitory watching the tail end of this battle. It was one of those where Memphians had reasons to cheer for either team. Isaac Bruce, a Memphis Tiger was one of the NFL's best that year and played for the Rams. That was an incredible offense they had as well. Tennessee made it there as a result of that Music City Miracle, and came so darn short to having a chance to tie the game. That was one of the best games ever in my opinion.
7. February 3, 2008 - New York Giants vs. New England Patriots 17-14 I was working in Korea, and there was really impressive team that year that was supposed to go undefeated. Well, I remember over hearing a co-worker talk about some amazing play that Eli Manning made to pretty much win the game. I guess that other team didn't go undefeated after all. Eli did have Brady's number in those big game. You did do two awesome things for Giants fans, Eli. This was the first time in a long time that I did not watch a single down of the Super Bowl.
8. February 1, 2009 - Pittsburgh Steelers vs,. Arizona Cardinals 27-23 -- The underdog story of recent postseasons. Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald came so close to pulling off that crazy ending to the story. That would have been a heck of a way for Warner to leave the sport. I was at Winter Camp in Daegu, South Korea, and I remember getting to see the last few minutes of the game in the cafeteria on the big screen TVs they had there.
9. February 7, 2010 - New Orleans Saints vs. Indianapolis Colts 31-17 - This one of course I will never, ever forget. From listening to radio broadcast of the FG miss by Minnesota two weeks before in one of my classes, to sitting in a Canadian owned bar in Korea, with soldiers from MS, and LA. I witness tears on the faces of these soldiers. It was a dream come true, and a huge day in the history of NOLA. Every Who Dat will know exactly where they were on that day.
10. February 3, 2013 - Baltimore Ravens vs. San Francisco 49ers 34-31 This was the last time I ever had to watch a Super Bowl game via computer from the other side of the world. I had to juggle watching the game with entertaining little 4 and 5 year old Koreans as they came in to start the morning before classes. Thankfully I had small breaks in between my morning classes. This might have been one of the only times I actually ate my lunch downstairs in my classroom. This one we might remember was all about winning it for Ray. I am thankful that I don't have to visit those silly sites to watch sports anymore.
11. (BONUS) - February 5, 2017 New England Patriots vs. Atlanta Falcons in OT 34-28 My friend Teddy and I had been on the road for maybe around 30 hours by this time during SB weekend of that year. We left the day before hauling around 20 something dogs and puppies in a van that would take them all the way to the border of Connecticut and Rhode Island. We stopped that Sunday evening at a friend's place in West Virginia, and the score was 28-3 at halftime. Sorry Falcons fans. 28-3.
